AUM Renews Media Partnership with the Catholic Center for Studies and Media
Madaba – July 22, 2025 The American University of Madaba and the Catholic Center for Studies and Media renewed their longstanding media and cultural partnership during an official ceremony held on AUM’s campus on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.
This renewal reflects AUM’s ongoing commitment to expanding its media and cultural collaboration with both local and international institutions. It also reaffirms the university’s dedication to working closely with organizations affiliated with the Latin Patriarchate in a way that serves its educational, cultural and community-focused mission.
The renewal was signed on behalf of AUM by its President, Prof. Mamoun Akroush, and on behalf of the Catholic Center by its Director General, Fr. Dr. Rif’at Bader.
During the signing ceremony, Professor Akroush expressed AUM’s pride in its strong partnership with the Catholic Center — a respected institution operating under the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem. He highlighted the Center’s vital role in communicating a message of humanity and faith to both the Jordanian public and international audiences. He also extended his appreciation to the Latin Patriarchate, led by His Eminence Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, for its continued support of the university and its mission.
Fr. Dr. Rif'at Bader, for his part, expressed his joy in renewing the partnership, emphasizing the depth of the relationship between the Center and the university — particularly as the occasion coincides with the 16th anniversary of the laying of AUM’s cornerstone by the late Pope Benedict XVI in May 2009.
Fr. Bader added:
"We are honored to have accompanied AUM on its journey from its earliest days to the present. Today, it stands as a mature academic institution held in high regard both locally and internationally. At the Catholic Center, we reaffirm our ongoing commitment to covering AUM’s activities and supporting its educational and media mission."
The signing ceremony was attended by key representatives from both institutions.
