DSA Clubs:

The activities department at the Deanship of Student Affairs actively encourages students to engage in the wide array of student-led clubs. Whether they are passionate about painting, performing music, or exploring other creative outlets, DSA supports the formation and growth of these interest groups. Despite the DSA's commitment to fostering a rich cultural environment, the art and music clubs have experienced a period of inactivity. This is largely due to students’ busy academic schedules, leaving them with limited time to participate in extracurricular activities. In some cases, students have expressed a lack of sustained interest or leadership within these clubs, causing momentum to slow down. We encourage all students to become more involved, propose new ideas, and revive existing clubs to create a more dynamic and enriching campus life. The current clubs at the DSA are:

 

Debate club:

  • AUM’s Debate Team/ Club:
    • The objective of this club is to provide a challenging and rewarding debate experience for highly motivated and hardworking undergraduates. The club aims to develop top-notch critical and strategic thinking skills, produce high-quality research and arguments, and nurture articulate leaders for the next generation. The team fosters a collaborative environment where students can work towards both their own improvement and the success of their peers.
    • The debate club offers students of all abilities an opportunity to develop their oratory skills. It also helps them become more informed about political and global affairs and provides a platform for students to train for debate competitions at both local and national university levels.

*Students Nabil AlSamman and Sina Rustom won the award for best ten speakers out of a hundred and twenty participants. in the Second National University Debate Championship.
