The Career Guidance and Alumni Office – King Abdullah II Fund for Development at the American University of Madaba is a Non-Profit Office that was founded upon the recommendation of the Jordanian Youth Forum for 2003. The office was established in AUM in 2017.
- Vision: For students and graduates to have the skills to succeed in the labor market, are able to innovate, and be active citizens in their communities.
- Mission: To work on training and qualifying university students and graduates by providing them with professional skills and personal competencies to achieve development goals and encourage creativity and excellence through cooperation with private and public civil society institutions to reach the optimal investment in the potential energies of the people of the country, which increases their employment opportunities and paves them a successful career path.
Objectives:
- Providing students with professional advice and technical consultation in communication skills and job search.
- Assist students to establish links with the private sector organizations and civil society institutions at national, regional and international levels.
- Assist students obtain permanent jobs after graduation and part-time jobs during university study years.
- Updating database AUM graduate students (Alumni), where a robust network of connections.
Services:
1- Training: The Career Guidance and Alumni Office cares about holding training programs and workshops, aiming to develop AUM students’ skills and abilities, and empower them during the different stages of study, so that they can meet local, regional and international labor market requirements.
2- Activities and Partnerships (Networking): Establishing communication lines and strategic relationships with concerned parties from different sectors, alumni, and employment companies. The goal is to plan graduates' career paths, and provide opportunities for university students and graduates.
- Career day: Career Guidance and alumni office annually implements a career day for graduates of American University of Madaba and the local community, where coordination is made with companies wishing to participate and who have job opportunities.
3- Alumni Affairs: The Office is seeking to extend the ties of communication between the university and its graduates in different locations both inside and outside Jordan.
- Success Stories: Abdal-Raheem Al-Majali & Ammar Albatayneh & Hussein Mansour /Computer Science, designed two applications 'Hi MED Care",' Hi MED Medical Solutions” to help patients take their medications on time.
