This course aims at enabling students to analyze an organizational crises scenario, and based on this analysis, be able to develop proper, effective and usable crisis communications plans. In order to achieve this objective, students are first introduced to the various forms of organizational structures and communications systems used during normal situations. Next, students are directed towards understanding the requirements of a crisis situation and the necessary procedures to be followed to prepare a crisis communications plan. The course also draws on the role of different business units and management levels before, during, and after crises.
