Master of Business Administration and Business Analytics at The American University of Madaba (AUM) provides an in-depth approach to business education, with opportunities to engage in real-world projects, interact with the business community, and participate in an extensive network of professional development activities. Topics covered in the program represent various knowledge areas in business and management with an emphasis on business analytics. The program intends to study the latest theories and practices that enhance decision-making to improve business overall performance. The program also focuses on operations management, decision science, data management and quantitative analysis, by using a wide range of teaching methods including lectures, case studies, individual and team projects, and industrial guest speakers. Students are expected to graduate from this program with a strong ability to abstract, analyze business scenarios/situations to support decision-making for different types of decisions at the different managerial levels.

  1. Knowledge Intended Learning Outcomes :
    1. A1. A clear understanding of the different aspects of managerial functions.
    2. A2. Explain the different categories and types of techniques used in business analytics
    3. A3. Demonstrate the different types of data systems, models, and applications.
    4. A4. Comprehend the different styles, frameworks, and processes of decision-making.
  2. Skills Intended Learning Outcomes :
    1. B1. Professionally write business proposals and project plans.
    2. B2. Use various optimization, sub-optimization, and heuristic models to figure out the outcome of different courses of action.
    3. B3. Apply sensitivity analysis to assess and define the best choice from a set of alternatives.
    4. B4. Generate and design institutional and ad-hoc reports that give a comprehensive and detailed overview of business operations.
    5. B5. Use of appropriate technology to gather data, analyze data and generate reports.

Student learning outcomes describe what students are expected to know and be able to do by the time of graduation. By the time of graduation, the MSc. Business Administration and Business Analytics Department's program must enable students to attain an ability to:

ILO1. Demonstrate Comprehensive Knowledge of Business Functions:Graduates will exhibit an advanced understanding of organizational functions and inter-departmental dynamics to address business challenges effectively.

 

ILO2. Develop Professional Business Proposals and Implementation Plans: Graduates will be able to design and present comprehensive business proposals, accompanied by actionable, applied plans for real-world execution.

ILO3. Leverage Technology for Data-Driven Decision Making: Graduates will utilize advanced technologies to collect, process, and analyze business data, transforming insights into actionable business intelligence through detailed reports.

 

ILO4. Apply Analytical Techniques to Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Graduates will implement quantitative and qualitative methods to address complex, novel business problems and support evidence-based decision-making.
