ISO Standard Procedures:
Residency Applications:
All documents should be sent to the ISO in good quality /clear copies to the following email iso@aum.edu.jo to fill your Residency application:
v Residency Required Documents (first time):
· Student proof in Arabic Language from the Registration Department.
· A Copy of the first page (main page) of your passport valid for at least for six months.
· A Copy of the last entry stamp to Jordan on your passport.
· And as soon as I get your email I will send you back a Residency form to fill out. Student proof must be stamped from the ministry of higher education
v If your renewing your residency and you are not expected to graduate, you can take the Student proof in Arabic language stamped from the ministry of higher education, and the below documents, and go to the nearest police station to renew it.
v Residency Required Documents (renewing):
· Your residency card and a Copy of the previous residency card both sides.
· Students proof in Arabic language from the Registration Department/stamped from The Ministry of Higher Education
· Your passport valid for at least for six months and a Copy of the first page (main page) of your passport.
Student proof must be stamped from the ministry of higher education
There are also cases that needs to be renewed by us, they can’t renew this way.
Some nationalities require more documents for the residency procedure.
v Residency for Students with Travel Documents Attachments (first time):
· Students proof Arabic language (from the Registration Department).
· Copy of travel document valid at least for six months (main page).
· Last entry stamp to Jordan (copy of the page from the travel document).
· Filling the residency form (From the ISO).
· Exit and return documents from the country of residence.
· ID card from the country of residence.
Student proof must be stamped from the ministry of higher education
v After the approval for (new students)
New Student (first time) must take an appointment online or to go to the nearest Health Ministry clinic if he/she lives in Madaba or the nearest Health Ministry clinic to where he/she lives to do a medical test.
When the test results are out, students must go to the police station with the following documents:
· Student proof in Arabic and stamped by the ministry of higher education
· A copy of the approval Card from the ministry online system.
· His/her Passport
· 2 personal photos (for new students)
· Determine accommodation / where do you live (for new students)
v New students living in Madaba
· Student must visit Madaba police Directorate for finger prints to issue the residency.
· New students can go to the nearest police station to where he/she lives for finger prints to issue the residency
v Palestinians Deffa/Gaza Students
For Palestinians Deffa and Gaza Students: You will need to apply online by yourself from your own account (save the user name and password for renewing) with ISO help
Places to apply:
1. The e-services website (https://eservices.moi.gov.jo/MOI_EVISA).
2. Smart phone applications through the application store for devices (Jordanian Ministry of Interior - MOI).
v First time applying for your Residency you will need to prepare the below documents:
· You will need Proof of studentship in Arabic from the Registration Department.
· After that you need to Stamp it from the Ministry of Higher Education.
· Copy of your passport valid for at least for six months (main page).
· Last entrance to Jordan from the blue or green card.
· Student must install ministry of interior affairs application and create a new account and then apply online for residency approval.
· Payment can be made electronically through any of E-Fawateercom or through a direct payment service for your application.
· When you get the notification of approval you should take your original documents and go to Department of follow-up and inspection / Tabarbor.
v Renewing your Residency:
For Palestinians Deffa and Gaza Students: You will need to apply online by yourself, with ISO help.
Places to apply:
1. The e-services website (https://eservices.moi.gov.jo/MOI_EVISA).

Required Documents:
- A Copy of your previous residency card front and back.
- You will need Proof of studentship in Arabic from the Registration Department.
- After that you need to Stamp it from the Ministry of Higher Education
- Copy of your passport valid at least for six months (main page).
- Last entrance to Jordan from the blue or green card.
- Applying online for residency renewal by the students from the same account you applied the first time.
- Payment can be made electronically through any of E-Fawateercom or through a direct payment service for your application.
- When you get the notification of approval you should take your original documents and go to Department of follow-up and inspection / Tabarbor.
Important Notes:
- The student’s proof for Nigerian nationality must include the cumulative average, the completed hours and the remaining hours.
- For students whom they lost their residency the student must visit the police station to announce and issue a new one or have a stamp with a serial number of residency on their passport, and by the time of renewing the documents required should include the announcement also.
- All the required documents attached in the email must be clear and well copied.
- In cases of changing the phone number you must notify the ISO at AUM, otherwise the student will be responsible for any delay of his/her Residency.
· Please always check the expiry date on your Residency so you can renew it before expiring. (apply before one month)
· It usually takes two to three weeks of processing and sometimes they request a personal interview.
· All the Student proof must be in Arabic language and stamped from the ministry of higher education.
v Canceling a residency
If you’re canceling your residency please give two weeks prior to the reason you’re doing the cancellation to fill your application and send your documents at Email: iso@aum.edu.jo
Required Documents for canceling before the expiry date of your residency:
- An official letter to the Ministry of interior that the student is canceling his/her Residency and the reason. (By the University)-the student needs a copy of this letter for the police station visit.
- A copy of the main page of your passport
- Last entry stamp to Jordan from your passport
- Copy of the Residency card both sides.
- The student needs to send us their documents, and then we inform him/her to visit the nearest police station to hand his/her residency, and send us back the cancellation stamp.
- Then we need a copy of the proof of leaving the country paper from the Boarder and Residence Department (by the university) it costs 1 JD.
This service costs a fee of 2 JDs after we start the cancelation process on the MOI system. We do not approve any clearance form for a student unless his/her residency is cancelled, expired or transferred to another sponsor.
v Transferring Residency to AUM
Required Documents to be sent to this email: iso@aum.edu.jo
- Students proof in Arabic language (from the registration department).
- Student proof must be stamped from the ministry of higher education
- A copy of the main page of your passport valid at least for 6 months.
- Last entry stamp to Jordan (copy of the page from the passport).
- A Copy of the previous residency card both side.
- Copy of passport for sponsor of the previous residency valid at least for six months (main page)
- A Copy of the residency cards for the sponsor of the previous residency both sides.
- An approval letter from the previous sponsor to transfer the residency to the American university of Madaba account.
- If the previous sponsor was another University: an official letter to the Ministry of interior by the old University to transfer the Residency.
- A clearance letter from the previous university if his Residency was on the old university account.
- Filling the Residency form at the International student office at the Deanship of student affairs.
v Customs exemptions for student cars
Required documents and information sent to this email iso@aum.edu.jo
- A copy of the main page of his/her passport
- Copy of the Residency card both sides
- Students name, University ID number, and major
For us to give the student an official letter to the General Director of the Jordan Customs.
v Customs exceptions Clearance are now done online
Required documents:
· The Students passport and university information (University ID number, and major)
· The student needs to log in and create an account to start the process

· Then we log in at AUMs account to clear the student’s name.
We do not approve any clearance form for a student until we get a clear status for him/her from the customs.
v Visa application Requirements:
· Student proof in Arabic Language from the Registration Department.
· A Copy of the first page (main page) of your passport valid for at least for six months.
· A Copy of the last entry stamp to Jordan on your passport, if available
· And as soon as I get your email I will send you back a Residency form to fill out.
Visa takes up to two weeks, and we need to know the date of your arrival a month before.
