This course provides students with the basic knowledge in industrial management and quality control to assume responsible positions (Engineer/ Manager) in production and service organizations. Topics will include functions of management, production planning and control, inventory control, cost control, management reporting systems, human resource management, motivating work force, cultural and technological change, marketing management and project management (CPM/PERT). It also introduces statistical process control, process capability, acceptance sampling, and the relationships between productivity and quality. |
