This course discusses mechanisms of action and the biological properties of antibiotics and chemical compounds that are used clinically to treat different types of microbial diseases. The course also covers the development of microorganism?s resistance, and the methods for preventing or reducing such resistance. This course will include : various methods of sterilization, Principles of biotechnology, recombinant DNA technology, and some biotechnologically produced drugs .
