In this course, the student will be able to communicate effectively the physicochemical properties of the drug product and the relevant physiology leading to the optimization of drug delivery by any route of administration. The concepts of bioavailability and bioequivalence are also discussed in this course. The course will include: the physico-chemical and biological factors involved in the absorption, distribution, and elimination of drugs as well as method of calculating drug levels in blood and urine after single or multiple dosing orally or intravenously.
