This practical course will familiarize students with the most important experimental methods to identify and examine medicinal plants macroscopically and microscopically. The course will include extraction, isolation, identification, and characterization of natural products in medicinal plants like anthraquinone, saponin, anthocyanins, terpenes, alkaloids, and cardiac glycosides.
