This course is intended to provide insights into the application of tissue culture on animal cells and particularly human primary cells and cell lines. In the course, an emphasis will be placed on mammalian systems, sterile and aseptic technique, media preparation, cell count and viability cryopreservation, sub-culturing and research applications. Moreover, the course involves correlation with practical session to ensure full understanding of the basic techniques used in cell culture, describe the equipment used on tissue culture and understand the safety procedures needed for tissue culture.
