This course is aiming to introduce the medical laboratory students to the most recent human assisted reproductive technologies (ART). ART offer a wide variety of services and procedures, like complete semen analysis, anti-sperm antibody testing, sperm cryopreservation and fertility preservation for cancer patients, intrauterine insemination (IUI), sperm preparation and testicular sperm extraction. On the other hand, ART entail different in-vitro fertilization techniques, which are designated to assess the human?s fertility. The course will provide the laboratory principles behind prenatal and pre implantation genetic testing.
