The course emphasizes on the laboratory methods to study, explore and investigate the essential biological molecules. The focus will be on the amino acids, proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, nucleic acids and acid-base solutions. The student will practice and perform experimental biochemical investigations including: acid-base titrations, buffer preparation, basic techniques used to separate biomolecules, spectrophotometric measurements and analysis of enzyme activity.
